The Xbrand Laptop Cradle can be used with any laptop, no matter the make or operating system. It works with any laptop operating Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 or XP and Mac's using OS 9.0 or higher. This is a great benefit as it means that you don't have to change docking stations every time you change laptops. For companies that have a pool of laptops for their mobile workers, this means a big cost-savings since you don't have to worry about matching laptops to a particular cradle. Height Adjustments

Prior to using the laptop cradle, I could not print from my laptop unless I sent the project through the network, now I can quickly and easily attach my printer to one of the available USB ports and print directly from the laptop. Another concern I had with the laptop cradle was using my USB wi-fi adapter, as my laptop only has 1 USB port. This USB port was needed to connect to the cradle. I had tried using a USB hub before with my wi-fi adapter and it did not work. Again, the laptop cradle surprised me and I can use the USB wi-fi adapter in any of the four USB ports and connect to my wi-fi network.
Another advantage is that you don't need to disconnect your peripherals when you aren't using the cradle with your laptop. They can stay connected and it only takes less than a minute to re-connect your laptop to the USB cable. When taking your laptop on trips, just disconnect the one USB cable and you are mobile again.
Ergonomics
